Music shapes culture like no other vehicle.  It opens the heart of humanity through its emotional power, allowing us to be taught the values and lessons of the lyrics.  Our purpose at CBC is to unite all believers, of every age, together in the praise and worship of our Savior.  We desire to choose worship music that helps us fulfill this purpose.  It is our privileged joy to know Christ’s love and wish to praise Him because of His love.  There are many opportunities to be involved in Worship through Music at CBC.

Music opportunities at CBC

►K.I.X. Praise Choir – 1^st – 5^th grade
K.I.X. Praise practices on Sunday mornings from 10:30 – 11:15 a.m. from September through May.  They perform monthly during both morning worship services.  Children are picked up and returned to their Sunday School/Children’s Church classes by the choir director.

►X-Treme Praise Choir – 9^th grade – College
X-Treme Praise practices on Sunday evenings from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. beginning in September and ending with their Spring Break tour (see video clip here - 7.1 MB) and final concert at CBC.  They also perform monthly during both morning worship services. See additional information on the Youth Ministry page.

►Adult Worship Choir
This choir is open to all adults who like to sing.  They practice Wednesday evening from 6:45 – 8:00 p.m.  The Worship Choir performs monthly during both morning worship services as well as presenting a musical program at Christmas and Easter.

►Worship Teams
CBC has several worship teams that rotate monthly to lead the congregation in worship at both morning worship services.  Each team presents a different style in their worship selections and there are many opportunities to sing and/or play instruments as part of a worship team.

Involvement in Music at CBC
Can I be involved?  These are the qualities we are seeking at Community Bible Church:

• A personal love of Christ as evidenced through salvation, and a daily Christ-honoring spirit-controlled life.
• A regular pattern of prayer and Bible reading.
• An attitude which presents Christ as your chief focus and not a desire for personal glory.
• An agreement with the doctrinal position of CBC and a willingness to adhere to our music policy.
• At least 6 months in attendance at CBC.
• A desire to be part of our fellowship and family.
